## Description

**Nasoft** is hiring a **Senior PHP Laravel Engineer** for a **Software House** to our client in **Saudi Arabia** ,  
with strong technical expertise in PHP, Laravel, database design, software architecture, and automated testing.  
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience building and maintaining large-scale, scalable applications, particularly SaaS platforms and **ERP systems,** and can translate complex business requirements into reliable, secure, and maintainable solutions.

The candidate should demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, ownership, and the ability to collaborate effectively within an Agile development team while maintaining high engineering standards.

## Key Responsibilities

-   Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend applications using PHP and Laravel.
-   Build and maintain RESTful APIs and integrate third-party services.
-   Develop and optimize complex database queries using Laravel Eloquent ORM and Query Builder.
-   Design efficient database schemas, relationships, indexes, and transactions.
-   Apply SOLID principles, design patterns, and clean code practices.
-   Develop and maintain automated unit, feature, and integration tests.
-   Ensure code quality, security, performance, scalability, and maintainability.
-   Identify and resolve technical issues, bugs, and performance bottlenecks.
-   Participate in code reviews and provide constructive technical feedback.
-   Collaborate with frontend engineers, QA engineers, DevOps, business analysts, and other stakeholders.
-   Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
-   Contribute to technical documentation and continuous improvement of development processes.

## Requirements

-   At least 5 years of professional experience developing applications with PHP and Laravel.
-   Strong knowledge of PHP 8+ and modern PHP development practices.
-   Solid understanding of programming fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, problem-solving, time and space complexity, and memory management.
-   Strong understanding of OOP principles, including encapsulation, inheritance, polymorphism, and abstraction.
-   Proven hands-on experience developing and maintaining large-scale, scalable applications, including SaaS platforms and/or ERP systems.
-   Experience handling complex business workflows, system architecture, performance optimization, data integrity, and high-volume data processing.
-   Strong practical experience with Laravel features, including Eloquent ORM, Query Builder, migrations, middleware, service providers, queues, events, jobs, and task scheduling.
-   Advanced SQL skills, including complex queries, joins, subqueries, aggregations, relationships, and query optimization using Eloquent and Query Builder.
-   Strong experience with MySQL and/or PostgreSQL, including database design, indexing, transactions, and performance tuning.
-   Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and integrating third-party services.
-   Strong understanding of SOLID principles, common design patterns, clean code, and maintainable software architecture.
-   Practical experience writing and maintaining automated unit, feature, and integration tests using PHPUnit or Pest.
-   Strong understanding of software testing principles, TDD concepts, and QA best practices.
-   Commitment to writing or updating automated tests for all new features and modified existing functionality.
-   Experience using Git, branching strategies, pull requests, and code review workflows.
-   Good understanding of application security, authentication, authorization, validation, and common web vulnerabilities.
-   Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills, including diagnosing and resolving production issues.
-   Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and participating in related ceremonies.
-   Strong communication, collaboration, ownership, and technical problem-solving skills.
-   Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated quality checks.
-   Experience with Redis, caching strategies, queues, and background processing.
-   Familiarity with Docker and containerized development environments.
-   Experience working with multi-tenant SaaS architectures.
-   Experience with ERP systems, accounting workflows, inventory management, or other complex business domains.
-   Familiarity with static analysis tools such as PHPStan and code formatting tools such as Laravel Pint.
-   Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS.
