# Food Prep Assistant - Full-time

## Description

Nationa**l** Star Services is a 28-year-old facility management company providing different services all nationwide and we are now in search of **Helpers** to work at our location in **Des Plaines, IL 60018.  
  
Duties and responsibilities:  
‣** Be part of a team, creating high-end products served daily to hundreds of international airline guests.  
**‣** Assist chefs and kitchen staff with food preparation, fruit and vegetable cutting, assembling small dishes, plating meals, and preparing airline catering trays.  
**‣** Read, understand and follow menu specifications.  
Ensure kitchen spaces are kept clean, organized, and sanitary.  
**‣** Maintain hygiene, quality, and safety standards at all times.  
**Schedule:** Monday - Sunday  
From 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM (with **two days off** during the week).  
  
**Pay rate:** $17.50 per hour  
(paid bi-weekly).  
**Requirements:  
‣** _Per our client’s request,_ _**Bilingual proficiency i**__n_ _**English and Spanish**_ _is required for this role_.  
**‣** Must be authorized to lawfully work in the US.  
**‣** Must have two updated valid forms of IDs.  
**‣** Slip Resistant shoes at work.  
**‣** Own transportation to get to and from work.  
**‣** A Background check and Drug test will be conducted.  
**‣** Must be able to start working as soon as possible.
