## Description

_**We are a leading Accounting & Financial Advisory firm. On behalf of our client, an established company operating in the Shipping & Energy sector, we are seeking a high-caliber Accounting Supervisor. In this role, you will lead the accounting team, oversee daily financial operations, and act as the primary financial liaison at the client's premises.**_

**Key Responsibilities**

-   **Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and allocate daily tasks to the accounting team.**
-   **Vessel Accounting: Audit and approve shipping-related costs (bunkers, port fees, repairs, MGA) and manage P&I / H&M claims.**
-   **Financial Reporting: Coordinate month-end/year-end closings and prepare monthly management reports and voyage results per vessel.**
-   **Reconciliations: Oversee bank movements, cash flows, and supplier/customer ledger reconciliations.**
-   **Compliance: Ensure absolute alignment with Greek tax laws and collaborate with internal departments, external auditors, and banks.**

## Requirements

-   **Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Shipping.**
-   **Experience: 5+ years in accounting, with 2–3 years in a supervisory or senior role.**
-   **Technical Skills: Advanced MS Excel (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP) and strong experience with ERPs.**
-   **Core Knowledge: Sharp understanding of Greek accounting/tax legislation.**
-   **Languages: Fluency in Greek and English.**

**Pluses**

-   **Prior experience in Ship Management or Shipping Accounting.**
-   **Familiarity with maritime terms (freight, laytime, demurrage, disbursements).**
