**Project Details:**

-   **Location:** European Union
-   **Contract type:** Full-time, freelance B2B
-   **Rate:** €27-37/h (flexible, depending on experience)

## Requirements

**Must-have:**

-   **4+ years of commercial working experience** as a Data Engineer.
-   Deep expertise in the **AWS** tech stack (**Glue, DMS, Redshift, S3**) proven by experience in previous commercial projects.
-   Strong proficiency in **Python, Scala, and Bash** is required. Specifically, our client uses **Scala** for production data transformation and CDC, and **Bash** for CI/CD operations.
-   Capability of traversing the "AWS universe" and managing data lifecycles, not just a Database Administrator type of experience.
-   **Reliability & Performanc**e: understanding how to build crash-resistant, idempotent pipelines and optimize Spark jobs via partitioning, columnar formats (Parquet), and broadcast joins.
-   Attention to detail, creative problem-solving abilities and a passion for data.
-   Excellent command of written and spoken **English (C1+).**
