## Description

**Physician Assistant, Surgical 1st Assistant**

We are actively hiring for a full-time, permanent hire Physician Assistant, Surgical 1st Assistant role. This opportunity is ideal for a Physician Assistant who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys being an integral part of a high-performing surgical team.

You’ll work closely with the Chief of Surgery, as well as Vascular and Oncology Surgeons—serving as a First Assist in the OR while also supporting patients before and after surgery in the clinical setting.

### **Position Responsibilities:**

-   _**Act as First Assist in the operating room**_
-   Support pre-operative evaluations and post-operative follow-up care
-   Participate in clinic responsibilities and patient management
-   Assist with inpatient rounding as needed
-   Coordinate communication with referring and primary care providers to ensure seamless continuity of care

## Requirements

-   _**Current Physician Assistant license**_
-   National Certification (NCCPA)
-   Valid DEA license
-   BLS and ACLS certifications
-   Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
-   _**Confidence working in both surgical and clinical environments**_
