### **Nuclear Medicine Technologist**

**($15,000.00 Sign-ON Bonus, Relocation Assistance, Excellent Benefits and Compensation Package and more!)**

We are seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic Nuclear Medicine procedures.

### Position Responsibilities:

1.  **Diagnostic Nuclear Medicine/Nuclear Cardiology**

-   Perform a full range of diagnostic procedures with precision and accuracy
-   Conduct quality control testing on imaging equipment
-   Review physician orders for appropriateness
-   Prepare patients and administer radiopharmaceuticals
-   Insert IV catheters as required
-   Acquire and process images using gamma cameras, PACS, and nuclear medicine management systems
-   Troubleshoot technical and clinical issues

3.  **Radiopharmaceutical Preparation**

-   Order, prepare, and calculate doses of radiopharmaceuticals
-   Manage Tc99m kits and bulk supplies
-   Ensure quality control and compliance with sterile technique

5.  **Radioactive Material Management**

-   Oversee ordering, receiving, distributing, and storage of radioactive materials and waste
-   Ensure compliance with departmental, hospital, and New York State regulations

7.  **Therapeutic Nuclear Medicine**

-   Coordinate with referring offices and radiologists for therapy planning
-   Ensure all pre-testing and documentation is complete
-   Administer therapeutic doses safely while following all radiation safety precautions

9.  **Mobile Nuclear Cardiology**

-   Travel to physician offices across NY and PA using a mobile gamma camera system
-   Safely transport, set up, and operate equipment in varied environments
-   Work independently alongside physicians, nurses, and patients

11.  **Patient Care**

-   Provide compassionate, age-appropriate care for neonates through geriatrics
-   Maintain patient safety and comfort throughout all procedures

13.  **Compliance & Education**

-   Participate in accreditation activities and departmental policy compliance
-   Maintain continuing education credits and required certifications
-   Attend annual training and educational programs

15.  **Customer Service**

-   Demonstrate excellent patient interaction skills by providing care in a friendly, professional, and attentive manner
-   Support a positive patient experience throughout the diagnostic process

## Requirements

-   _**Current certification or eligibility for certification in Nuclear Medicine by NMTCB or ARRT**_
-   Formal 2- or 4-year degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology (preferred)
-   _**Nuclear Medicine Technologist licensure**_
-   Valid driver’s license and insurability
