## Description

### Line Operative – Nights

**Newstaff Employment Services, Milton Keynes** are recruiting on behalf of a global manufacturer of plastic caps and closures for the packaging industry.

Our client employs over 200 people across three modern, well-equipped factories, operating multiple shifts and supplying major blue-chip customers using high-speed automated production techniques.

We are currently looking for **Line Operatives** to join the night shift team.

### Shift Pattern

-   **Tuesday to Friday**
-   **8:00pm – 8:00am**
-   **12-hour shifts**

### Pay Rates

-   **Training (3–4 weeks on day shift):** Tuesday to Friday, 8:00am – 8:00pm – **£12.95 per hour**
-   **Night Shift:** Tuesday to Friday, 8:00pm – 8:00am – **£15.80 per hour** (£12.95 per hour plus a 22% shift premium)

Following successful completion of training, you will move onto the permanent night shift.

### Key Responsibilities

-   Erecting cardboard cartons and attaching labels
-   Carrying out quality inspections on finished products
-   Stacking pallets with completed boxes
-   Making up new boxes
-   Moving cartons and bulk bins to and from production machines
-   Completing production paperwork accurately
-   Maintaining high standards of housekeeping within the production area
-   Following health and safety procedures at all times

### What We're Looking For

-   Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment
-   Experience in a similar role is preferred
-   Physically fit and able to undertake manual handling duties
-   Comfortable standing for 12-hour shifts
-   Good English reading and writing skills
-   Good numerical skills
-   Reliable, hardworking and able to work as part of a team
