## Description

Fabric Cutter

**£13.00 per hour to start | Full-time | Monday–Friday | No weekends**

We are currently recruiting for a **Fabric Cutter** to join our client’s manufacturing team, working on the production team.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who has excellent attention to detail, enjoys practical work and can work accurately to measurements and specifications.

### The Role

As a Fabric Cutter, you will be responsible for preparing and cutting a range of materials, including **fire-resistant fabrics, upholstery fabrics and leather**, ready for use in the production process.

Your duties will include:

-   Measuring, marking and cutting materials accurately
-   Working from patterns, templates, drawings and job specifications
-   Using fabric cutting equipment, knives, scissors and other hand or power tools
-   Preparing materials according to required quantities and dimensions
-   Trimming and finishing cut materials
-   Checking materials for defects such as marks, stains, snags or other imperfections
-   Sorting and organising materials by type, colour and batch
-   Stacking and preparing completed cuts for the next stage of production
-   Reporting any material or quality issues to management
-   Carrying out material counts when required
-   Supporting production targets and continuous improvement
-   Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment
-   Following company quality, health & safety and **AS9100** procedures

### What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is:

-   Practical and hands-on
-   Accurate with excellent attention to detail
-   Comfortable working with measurements and cutting equipment
-   Able to follow written and verbal instructions
-   Able to read and understand basic drawings, patterns and work instructions
-   Well organised and able to prioritise workload
-   Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment
-   Reliable and committed to producing high-quality work

Previous **fabric cutting, upholstery, manufacturing or production experience** would be an advantage, but relevant transferable skills will also be considered.

### Pay & Progression

**Starting rate: £13.00 per hour**

The starting rate will depend on your experience and performance during the skills assessment. There is **scope for the rate to increase** for candidates who demonstrate strong performance and successfully progress through the **three-month probationary period**.

### Working Hours

**Monday – Thursday:** 7:00am – 4:00pm  
**Friday:** 7:00am – 1:00pm

**No weekend working.**

### Recruitment Process
