**POSITION SUMMARY**

The successful candidate will lead internal accounting functions across NFI Group, while driving large-scale operational transformation within the finance function across multiple geographies. This role will focus on optimizing accounting processes through the implementation of standardized practices and the adoption of leading business and technology solutions. The objective is to enhance efficiency, improve effectiveness, and support increased cash flow generation.

**WHAT YOU WILL DO:**

-   Responsible for the accuracy of general ledgers and all related accounting data processes of the Company. Direct the day-to-day accounting operations of the business.
-   Standardize processes across all business units, using similar systems where applicable.
-   Supervision of the financial professionals responsible for various financial reporting activities.
-   Ensure the timely and accurate closing, and reporting, of the financial accounts of the Company to both internal and external parties.
-   Collaborate with the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team in the utilization of automated tools for the updating, analyzing, and reporting of consolidated financial results.
-   Responsible for the implementation of process improvements.
-   Ensure compliance with all Company, parent company and regulatory (e.g., FASB) policies, procedures, and pronouncements, and to proactively address such items to ensure present and future compliance.
-   Provide decision support for other departments in the Company.
-   Represent Finance on cross-functional teams and projects as required.
-   Responsible for the preparation of externally used financial information including Financial Statements, MD&A, AIF and other as required.
-   Responsible for the preparation of various position papers to address the application of GAAP to NFI Group and subsidiaries.

## Requirements

**WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:**

-   CPA Designation
-   Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
-   Proven track record of driving financial performance and delivering results in fast-paced environments
-   Strong analytical skills and the ability to provide insights into complex financial data
-   Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
-   Demonstrated commitment to sustainability and environmentally responsible practices
