## Description

North Park University, a proud member of the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW), is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Associate Head Cross Country Coach. This twelve-month, full-time position directs all aspects of the men’s and women’s cross country programs including recruitment, retention, coaching, scheduling, team travel, and budgeting.

**Responsibilities**  

-   Reports to the Director of Track and Field and Cross Country.

-   Oversee the daily operations of the men’s and women’s cross country programs at North Park University.
-   Serve as an assistant coach for the men’s and women’s track and field programs at North Park University.
-   Provide on-site coaching in meets and practices, including organization and implementation of daily training schedules for all team members.
-   Manage all phases of competitive NCAA and CCIW compliant recruiting.
-   Supervise, develop, and evaluate part-time, volunteer, or graduate assistant coaches.
-   Ensure a strong commitment to the academic success of cross country and track student-athletes, including monitoring academic performance, attendance, and social behavior.
-   Build and sustain positive relationships with student-athletes, parents, alumni, faculty, staff, and the campus community.
-   Complete other duties as assigned by the Director of Track and Field and Cross Country, Assistant Vice President for Athletics and Sport Management, and Associate and Assistant Athletic Directors.

**Salary Range: $50,000-$52,000**

## Requirements

-   A bachelor’s degree is required.
-   Previous coaching experience and knowledge of the sports of cross country and track at the collegiate level are required.
-   Candidate must demonstrate strong attention to detail and possess excellent organizational and planning skills.
-   Able to lift and move athletic equipment.
-   Able to travel with team, by vehicle or plane.
-   A valid driver’s license is required.
-   Possess a clear understanding and personal commitment to North Park’s mission of Christian higher education.
