**Position Summary**

Reporting to the Director of Business Operations, the Coordinator of Audio-Visual & Event Services manages audiovisual services and provides operational support for university event scheduling and execution. This position serves as the lead audiovisual technician, schedules student technical staff, maintains audiovisual equipment, coordinates event logistics, and administers 25Live and related event management systems.

**Essential Responsibilities**

**Event Production and Technical Services**

-   Coordinate audiovisual and technical production support for university events, performances, conferences, ceremonies, meetings, and livestreamed programs.
-   Consult with event organizers as needed to assess technical requirements, recommend production solutions, and ensure successful event execution.
-   Schedule audiovisual equipment, assign student technical staff, and coordinate production logistics for multiple concurrent events.
-   Operate or oversee the operation of sound, lighting, projection, video, livestreaming, and other technical systems as needed.
-   Serve as the primary technical resource during events, proactively identifying and resolving production issues.

**Student Staff Leadership**

-   Model and promote professionalism, customer service, teamwork, and safe work practices among student technical employees.
-   Assist with training student technical employees.
-   Schedule and provide day-to-day direction to student technical employees.
-   Provide coaching on the safe operation of audiovisual equipment and event production practices.

**Equipment and Technology Management**

-   Maintain inventory of audiovisual equipment.
-   Recommend equipment purchases and replacements as needed.
-   Coordinate preventative maintenance and minor repairs.
-   Ensure equipment is properly deployed, maintained, stored, and secured.

**Collaboration and Customer Service**

-   Partner effectively with campus departments to support successful event planning and execution.
-   Communicate technical concepts clearly to event organizers and other non-technical stakeholders.
-   Work collaboratively with Physical Plant, Campus Safety, and other campus partners to ensure seamless event operations.
-   Restore event spaces and technical equipment to operational readiness following events.

**Event Services Administration**

-   Review incoming event requests in 25Live for completeness and coordinate with requestors to obtain missing information.
-   Maintain event records, room schedules, and audiovisual support information in 25Live. Coordinate routine event logistics with campus service departments under the direction of the Director.
-   Assist with room setup planning, event support schedules, and resource coordination.
-   Provide administrative support for university event operations, including maintaining calendars, records, and event documentation.

**Salary Range: $47,000-55,000 per year**

## Requirements

-   Ability to work evenings and weekends as required to support university events.
-   Associate degree or certificate in Audio Engineering, Audio Production, Music Technology, Theater Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
-   Experience supporting professional audiovisual production for live events and livestreaming.
-   Experience leading, training, or mentoring student employees or technical staff.
-   Working knowledge of professional sound, lighting, projection, video, and livestreaming systems.
-   Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and competing deadlines.
-   Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
-   Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to work effectively with individuals possessing varying levels of technical expertise.

**Preferred**

-   Experience supporting audiovisual services within a higher education, performing arts, conference, or event venue environment.
-   Experience coordinating multiple events simultaneously while maintaining a high standard of service.
-   Working knowledge of common computer applications and digital collaboration tools used in event production.
-   Background in music, theater, or live event production is advantageous.
-   Familiarity with Microsoft Teams and 25Live.
