**About the role**

The Senior Officer – Strategic Engagement, Analysis & Communications serves as a strategic resource to the Country Director, positioning Nutrition International (NI) Bangladesh within the country's rapidly evolving development-financing landscape. The role generates actionable intelligence on government, donor, multilateral development bank (MDB) and private-sector priorities; converts that intelligence into partnership and resource-mobilization opportunities aligned with NI's mandate; and strengthens NI's external profile and policy influence through strategic communications. By connecting policy analysis, partnership development, market scanning and communications, the post holder expands NI's access to resources and sharpens its capability for effective policy advocacy. **In this role you** **will:**

·       Monitor Bangladesh's development trends, emerging challenges and government policy and plans, identifying new opportunities for engagement and positioning NI. Map the government's planning and financing architecture (Planning Commission, ERD, Finance Division and line ministries) to identify national programs where nutrition can be integrated at scale.

·       Analyze bilateral and multilateral donors , MDB (World Bank, ADB, IsDB etc), philanthropies’ and private sector funding trends, strategies and pipelines to identify funding windows, technical-assistance opportunities for nutrition, and recommend pathways of engagement.

·       Maintain a Bangladesh-focused donor opportunity pipeline covering bilateral donors, MDBs, UN pooled funds, trust funds, climate-finance facilities and similar sources, and track upcoming funding opportunities and calls for proposals.

·       Work with relevant program, technical and Business Development teams (including the Business Development Unit of the Partnership & Growth team) on opportunity analysis and initiation of concept development.

·       Support donor engagement by preparing briefing notes, talking points, background papers and meeting strategies.

·       Explore and structure innovative financing models and options (such as blended finance and outcome-based instruments) to mobilize resources for NI's engagement and to implement and scale up nutrition interventions

·       Map and assess INGOs, national NGOs, CSOs, private sector and research institutions for their comparative advantages, compliance capacity and relevance for joint programming, resource mobilization and formal collaboration.

·       Support the Country Director to engage alliances and platforms (INGO Forum, CSO Alliance, SUN platforms) effectively and identify new platforms to represent NI nationally and internationally.

·       Support program team to develop compelling concept notes, proposals, pitch decks and business cases tailored to donor and market demands, and provide guidance on narrative alignment for multi-country and multi-partner proposals.

·       Develop positioning and strategic communication materials for external engagement — country profiles, investment cases, policy briefs, pitch decks and success stories — and coordinate with regional and global communications colleagues to ensure consistent messaging and high-quality publications.
