**Department:** Oceans Internal

## Description

Real opportunities. Real impact. Your career, redefined.

(NOTE: A human reviews every application at Oceans, so please apply for only one position and only once a year—if you're a better fit for another role, we’ll route your application accordingly and if we’re not quite ready for you, we’ll reach back out later.)

At Oceans, we help the best and brightest of Sri Lanka take advantage of opportunities that otherwise wouldn’t be available to them, while supporting entrepreneurs around the world. Our community (we call them Divers) don’t do surface work—they go deep to solve complex challenges and make a real impact. And in doing so, they support bold ideas, expand their skills, broaden their expertise, and grow their careers—all without having to leave family and friends.

As a **HubSpot & Email Marketing Specialist**, you will play a critical role in supporting Oceans' revenue engine by owning our email marketing, HubSpot administration, CRM automation, and reporting infrastructure. You'll work closely with the VP of Revenue to build scalable systems that drive pipeline growth, improve operational efficiency, and enable better commercial decision-making.

This role is ideal for someone who combines deep HubSpot expertise with strong marketing operations capabilities, excellent copywriting skills, and a builder's mindset. Rather than functioning as a traditional CRM administrator or campaign executor, you'll act as the operational owner of our marketing automation ecosystem—creating campaigns, optimizing workflows, maintaining CRM integrity, and delivering actionable insights that help the business grow.

### Accountability

Your success as a HubSpot & Email Marketing Specialist will be defined by your ability to build scalable marketing systems, maintain CRM excellence, and deliver campaigns and reporting that directly support revenue growth.

Here's how you'll make an impact:

### Email Marketing & Campaign Management

- Draft, build, and launch email campaigns from creative briefs with minimal oversight.
- Develop compelling subject lines, email copy, sequencing strategies, and send schedules.
- Own and continuously improve lifecycle email sequences, including inbound, nurture, and meeting follow-up campaigns.
- Test, analyze, and optimize campaign performance using metrics such as open rates, reply rates, and conversions.
- Continuously refine messaging and campaign strategy based on performance insights.

### HubSpot Administration & Marketing Automation

- Serve as the organization's primary HubSpot expert across CRM administration and automation.
- Build and maintain workflows, sequences, custom properties, list segmentation, lead routing, and automation logic.
- Manage CRM architecture, including lead lifecycle stages, deal pipelines, attribution fields, and contact management.
- Troubleshoot HubSpot issues and proactively identify opportunities to improve system performance.
- Support new initiatives by building scalable CRM structures and automation workflows.

### Reporting & Revenue Insights

- Design and build dashboards and reports that provide actionable business insights.
- Translate leadership requests into reusable reporting frameworks and visual dashboards.
- Monitor pipeline health, attribution accuracy, and campaign performance.
- Identify data gaps, operational inefficiencies, and trends that impact revenue performance.
- Deliver reporting that supports data-driven decision-making across the commercial organization.

### CRM Data Quality & Operational Excellence

- Maintain CRM accuracy through ongoing data hygiene, duplicate management, and enrichment.
- Monitor email deliverability, database health, and contact quality.
- Proactively identify and resolve inconsistencies within CRM data and processes.
- Support scalable CRM governance and operational best practices.
- Ensure critical sales and marketing workflows continue operating reliably.

### Sales Technology & Process Optimization

- Support integrations across HubSpot and sales engagement platforms.
- Build and optimize workflows that improve sales and marketing efficiency.
- Leverage enrichment tools to strengthen prospect data and outreach effectiveness.
- Evaluate new technologies and recommend improvements to the commercial technology stack.
- Continuously improve operational processes that support revenue generation.

### Colleagues

You'll work closely with the VP of Revenue, Sales, Marketing, and Revenue Operations teams, acting as a key operational partner responsible for ensuring our CRM, marketing automation, and reporting infrastructure supports scalable growth.

At Oceans Talent, you'll also receive guidance and support from your Operations Manager, who will help you succeed in the role and ensure that you're continuously growing and developing in your career.

- **Communication:** Native or near-native English fluency with the ability to write clear, compelling copy for a US B2B audience and communicate effectively across stakeholders.

During the interview process, you'll have the opportunity to showcase your skills in the following areas:
