# New Matters Specialist

## Description

Mid-size law firm with 26 offices nationwide is looking for a motivated self-starter who is detail-oriented and well-organized to help on our New Matters team with the process of opening new files and running conflict searches.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:** 

·       Setting up new files in the billing system for all offices nationwide

·       Review new intake forms for accuracy and completion

·       Following up on missing or inaccurate forms

·       Reviewing engagement letters

·       Preparing and distributing correspondence related to the new matter. Update existing file set up information as needed

·       Back up coverage for processing requests for conflicts searches

·       Assist with projects as needed and other duties as assigned

## Requirements

_·       Proficiency in Microsoft office_

_·       Strong attention to detail and proofreading necessary_

_·_       Excellent time management and judgement skills

_·       Ability to work well in a team environment and independently_

_·       Ability to handle a large volume of work while ensuring a high level of accuracy_

_·       Able to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines and priorities_

_·       Strong organizational and critical thinking skills_

_·       Effective verbal and written communication skills_

·       Previous work history in a law firm setting is beneficial, but not required.

·       Must be committed to providing superior customer service to attorneys while producing a high-quality work product

·       Maintaining confidentiality of client information is paramount. 

·       Experience running conflict checks is a plus

·       Experience with Juris or Aderant is a plus
