## Description

A leading **agriculture company** is seeking a **Senior Accountant** to manage accounting operations, financial reporting, cost analysis, and month-end closing activities. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate financial records, support budgeting and forecasting, and provide financial insights to support business decisions.

**Job Responsibilities**

-   Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including **GL, AP, AR, and bank reconciliations**.
-   Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual **financial statements and management reports**.
-   Handle **month-end and year-end closing** activities.
-   Monitor and analyze **agricultural production costs**, including labor, fertilizers, seeds, pesticides, irrigation, and other farm-related expenses.
-   Prepare **cost analysis and variance reports** for different farms/crops.
-   Monitor inventory movements and conduct regular **inventory reconciliations and physical counts**.
-   Maintain accurate records of **fixed assets and depreciation**.
-   Support **budgeting, forecasting, and cash-flow planning**.
-   Ensure compliance with **Egyptian accounting standards and tax regulations**.
-   Coordinate with internal and external auditors and provide the required supporting documents.
-   Review accounting transactions and ensure compliance with **internal controls and company policies**.
-   Supervise junior accountants and review their work.
-   Provide financial analysis and insights to management to support business decisions.
-   Ensure accurate and timely recording of all agricultural and operational transactions.

## Requirements

-   Bachelor’s degree in **Accounting, Finance, or Commerce**.
-   **4–7 years of accounting experience**, preferably within agriculture, farming, food production, or FMCG.
-   Strong knowledge of **General Ledger, AP, AR, and financial reporting**.
-   Good understanding of **cost accounting and inventory management**.
-   Experience with **ERP systems** and advanced Microsoft Excel.
-   Good knowledge of **Egyptian taxation and accounting standards**.
-   Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
-   High attention to detail and accuracy.
-   Good communication and interpersonal skills.
-   **Agriculture/farming industry experience is highly preferred.**
