As part of our expanding operations, we seek a skilled **Portuguese-Speaking Accountant** to join our team and provide financial expertise while supporting our Portuguese-speaking clients and regions.

### **Key Responsibilities**

-   **General Accounting:**

-   Manage and maintain accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with local and international accounting standards.
-   Perform month-end and year-end closing activities.
-   Prepare financial statements, balance sheets, and profit and loss accounts.

-   **Accounts Payable/Receivable:**

-   Oversee invoicing, payments, and collections processes.
-   Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.

-   **Tax Compliance:**

-   Handle tax filings and compliance for Portuguese-speaking regions, adhering to local laws and regulations.
-   Liaise with tax authorities and ensure timely submissions.

-   **Reporting and Analysis:**

-   Generate financial reports and forecasts to support decision-making.
-   Conduct variance analysis to track and improve financial performance.

-   **Collaboration and Communication:**

-   Work closely with cross-functional teams, including property managers, to align financial strategies.
-   Support Portuguese-speaking clients and stakeholders, addressing their accounting inquiries effectively.

### **Requirements**

-   **Education and Certification:**

-   Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
-   CPA or equivalent certification preferred.

-   **Experience:**

-   Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably within property management or real estate sectors.
-   Proficiency in handling multi-currency transactions and international financial standards (e.g., IFRS).

-   **Technical Skills:**

-   Strong knowledge of accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, or Xero).
-   Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

-   **Language Skills:**

-   Fluency in **Portuguese** and **English** (written and spoken) is mandatory.
-   Ability to communicate financial concepts clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
