# Senior Financial Controller

## Description

**Optimal** on behalf of its client, a well-established international company with a strong presence across global markets, is seeking a **Senior Financial Controller** to lead the Company’s Finance Department. The role will be responsible for supporting financial planning, reporting, controlling, and business performance monitoring, while partnering closely with senior management to facilitate informed decision-making and drive business performance.

Key Responsibilities**

-   Develop and execute the company’s financial strategy and business objectives with the collaboration of the finance and accounting team
-   Lead the preparation of annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and financial planning processes in collaboration with department heads
-   Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and provide actionable insights to support decision-making
-   Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery
-   Oversee cash flow monitoring, working capital management, and liquidity planning to support operational and strategic needs
-   Support cost controlling initiatives by monitoring expenses, identifying efficiencies, and ensuring adherence to approved budgets
-   Coordinate and review financial and accounting processes to ensure compliance with internal policies and accounting standards
-   Supervise invoicing activities and act as a point of escalation for complex financial and accounting matters
-   Perform financial analysis related to investments, profitability, pricing, and business opportunities
-   Liaise with banks and other financial institutions to identify opportunities for funding to support business progress
-   Collaborate closely with procurement, operations, and commercial teams to monitor supply chain costs, inventory performance, and margin optimization
-   Orchestrate financial controls, policies, and procedures to mitigate business risks
-   Lead relationships with external auditors, banks, financial institutions, and other stakeholders
-   Supervise audit processes and ensure timely implementation of audit recommendations
-   Contribute to process improvement initiatives and the development of financial reporting tools and KPIs

**Requirements**

-   Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
-   8+ years of relevant experience in Financial Controlling, FP&A, Commercial Finance, or similar roles
-   Strong understanding of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting
-   Professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA or equivalent) is required
-   SAP knowledge will be considered a strong asset and highly appreciated
-   Tech savvy in analytics and analytical & reporting tools
-   Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal
-   Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
-   Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
-   High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and business acumen
