## Description

**Optimal** on behalf of its client, a worldwide **marine chemical supplier company** serving the global shipping industry, is seeking a **Junior Trader / Consultant** to join the company’s Trading Department.

**Key Responsibilities:**

-   Assist in executing buy and sell orders under the guidance of senior traders, ensuring that trades align with company strategies
-   Support senior traders in monitoring market risks, ensuring compliance with company policies, trading limits, and regulatory requirements
-   Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on trading activity, market conditions, and trade performance
-   Assist in maintaining relationships with clients, suppliers, and brokers, providing updates on market conditions, prices, and other relevant factors
-   Communicate regularly with senior traders and back-office staff to ensure smooth coordination across trading activities
-   Respond to inquiries from clients and provide them with the necessary trade details or market updates

**Requirements:**

-   Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field
-   1-3 years of relevant working experience, with a strong interest in commodity trading or marine lubricants
-   Proficiency in MS Office
-   Knowledge of SAP will be considered an asset
-   Excellent command of English language
-   Strong analytical and numerical skills, with attention to detail
