_**Build the backbone of Europe's EV charging ecosystem.**_

At Optimile, we are building the future of e-mobility.

We develop digital solutions that empower Charging Point Operators (CPOs) and Mobility Service Providers (MSPs) to deliver seamless, reliable and scalable EV charging experiences across Europe.

As we continue to grow, we're looking for an **Ops Engineer** who enjoys digging into complex problems, improving reliability and security and turning recurring issues into structural solutions.

If you're at your best when tracing problems to their root cause and making systems more resilient along the way, we'd love to meet you.

### Your role

As a System Engineer, you'll sit at the intersection of **engineering, operations and product**. You'll be part of our DevOps team, but your impact will reach across our platform and engineering squads.

You'll investigate recurring incidents, alerts and vulnerabilities, make problems visible through strong observability and turn reactive firefighting into proactive prevention.

You'll also develop a strong understanding of our product and use that knowledge to build tools that help our Support and Engineering teams diagnose and resolve issues faster.

### What you'll do

- Design and improve monitoring, logging and alerting across our platform.
- Build and maintain Grafana dashboards, alert rules and SLO tracking.
- Investigate recurring incidents and systemic issues, trace their root causes and drive them to resolution.
- Create and maintain runbooks to make operational knowledge accessible across the team.
- Triage security findings and vulnerabilities using tools such as Sentry, Aikido, AWS GuardDuty and AWS Inspector.
- Assess impact and urgency and translate findings into clear, prioritized recommendations.
- Implement and maintain secrets management, access controls and least-privilege practices across environments.
- Build internal tools, scripts and diagnostics that help Support resolve common issues independently.
- Identify patterns in support requests that point to underlying product or infrastructure issues.
- Work closely with engineering squads and DevOps on infrastructure, security and reliability improvements.
- Turn incidents and learnings into structural improvements that make our platform more resilient.

### What we're looking for

**Must-have**

- You live and work in Belgium.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree, or equivalent experience.
- Professional proficiency in English. Dutch is a bonus.
- Strong Python skills, is a bonus.
- Experience with observability tooling such as Grafana, Prometheus, Loki or similar.
- Familiarity with security vulnerability triage, including CVEs and dependency risks.
- Experience with AWS services such as RDS, S3, ElastiCache and IAM.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the persistence to dig into root causes.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to translate technical findings into practical next steps.

**Nice to have**

- Experience with Terraform or other infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows.
- Experience with Ansible or other configuration management tools.
- Familiarity with RabbitMQ, Kafka, Celery or similar technologies.
- Experience with Sentry, Aikido, AWS Inspector or AWS GuardDuty.
- Experience with Django or a similar web framework.
- An interest in EV charging, energy or mobility.

### Why Optimile

- Meaningful technical challenges with real-world impact.
- High ownership and autonomy across our platform.
- The opportunity to work across engineering, operations, security and product.
- Modern infrastructure and engineering practices with a strong focus on reliability.
- Close collaboration with experienced Product and Engineering colleagues.
- Plenty of opportunities to learn, share knowledge and grow.
- An international, fast-growing company helping accelerate the transition to sustainable mobility.
