**Workplace:** hybrid

## Description

At OQC, we aren’t just theorising about the future; we’re building it.

Born from a philosophy of bold innovation, we’ve successfully transitioned quantum computing from an academic dream into a commercial reality which includes OQC deploying the first quantum computer in the AI Data Centre in New York.

As a Senior Product Manager, you will define and shape OQC’s product landscape for the first time, translating cutting-edge quantum hardware into scalable, customer-facing products. You’ll play a pivotal role in connecting global teams, aligning product strategy with real customer demand, and accelerating the adoption of quantum computing through practical, high-impact use cases.

**The Role**
Based in New York and \[initially\] reporting to the CTO, this is a highly influential role within OQC’s growing product function.

You will work across engineering, research, and commercial teams globally to define the product roadmap and bring new offerings to market. As an early product hire in the US, you’ll also help shape OQC’s product culture and contribute to building the NYC-based applications and algorithms capability.

What You'll Be Working On:

- Define and own OQC’s end-to-end product roadmap, building customer-facing products on top of the existing hardware platform
- Translate market demand, customer needs, and technical constraints into scalable product and platform offerings
- Act as the bridge between UK-based engineering/research teams and the emerging NYC applications and algorithms team
- Partner with global commercial teams (APAC, EMEA, Americas) to align product strategy with regional market demand
- Lead customer discovery, workshops, and proof-of-value engagements to validate use cases and product direction
- Develop business cases and value models for product tiers, including deployment models such as data centres and co-location
- Drive product culture, internal alignment, and execution by translating customer needs into clear product requirements

**What We're Looking For:**

- Proven experience in Product Management or a related technical leadership role
- Proven experience taking complex or deep-tech products from concept through to live deployment
- Strong ability to translate technical concepts into customer-facing products and business value
- Experience working across global teams, bridging technical and commercial stakeholders
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills
- Strong analytical mindset with experience in research, data analysis, and market insight
- Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field

**What Would Set You Apart:**

- Knowledge of the quantum computing landscape and experience working in this field
- Experience in high-performance computing (HPC), semiconductors, AI infrastructure, or similar advanced technology domains
- Experience working in a scale-up or emerging technology environment
- Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in Quantum Physics, Chemistry, or a related high-compute field
- Experience working with globally distributed teams across multiple time zones

**Why Join OQC**
You will join a world-class team at the forefront of the next computational era. We offer a culture of bold innovation, the chance to work with unique lab infrastructure, and the opportunity to see your work redefine the limits of computation.
