**Key Responsibilities**

- **Optical Network Planning & Design**

- Plan and design OTN/DWDM networks including ROADM-based architectures (C+L band, Flex Grid, CDC where applicable)
- Capacity planning for backbone, metro, and access fiber networks
- Design protection schemes (1+1, ring, mesh) ensuring high availability
- Optimize fiber routes, ring design, and wavelength utilization
- Develop IP network topology and capacity plans for aggregation, core, and service edge (BRAS/BNG, PE routers).
- Design and scale IP/MPLS networks (IPRAN, FTTS, aggregation/core layers)
- Plan and support services such as:
- L2VPN / L3VPN
- EVPN-based services
- Internet and enterprise P2P connectivity
- Evaluate and approve feasibility for Enterprise Sales (ES) requirements (FTTH, P2P, EVPN)
- Ensure optimal utilization of shared transport infrastructure (RAN + Enterprise traffic)
- Prepare transport and IP network for 5G (high capacity, low latency, slicing readiness)
- Optimize bandwidth allocation across FTTS and IPRAN rings
- Identify congestion points and proactively upgrade network capacity
- Develop and use automation tools (Python, scripting, APIs) for:

- Network planning and design validation
- Capacity tracking and reporting

- Integrate planning tools with OSS/BSS systems where applicable
- Apply data analytics techniques for traffic forecasting and network optimization
- Leverage AI/ML-based models (where applicable) for:

- Demand prediction
- Capacity optimization
- Anomaly detection in transport/IP networks

- Drive intelligent planning decisions based on network data insights
- Work closely with:

- Enterprise Sales (ES) for customer solutions
- Operations teams for implementation and optimization
- Vendors for design validation and new technology introduction

- Prepare and validate configurational scripts for L2/L3 networks (e.g., VLANs, routing, MPLS) and OTN service trails.
- Evaluate new optical and IP technologies, vendors, and architectures for network modernization.
- Prepare detailed network plans, BOQs, and integration guidelines for rollout teams.
- Support troubleshooting, acceptance testing, and optimization post-deployment.
- Maintain up-to-date network diagrams, inventory, and capacity databases.

## Requirements

**Qualifications & Experience**

- Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
- Fresh or 0-5+ years of relevant experience in transport optical and/or IP/MPLS network planning (telecom operator or vendor environment).
- Strong understanding of:

- DWDM, OTN, ROADM, GMPLS, and optical protection schemes.
- IPRAN, IP/MPLS, Segment Routing, BGP, OSPF/IS-IS, QoS, and TE principles.
- Network synchronization and clock distribution methods.

- Familiarity with major vendor platforms would be a plus (Nokia, Huawei, Ciena, Cisco, Juniper, etc.).
