## Description

Park Paving Ltd. has been locally owned and operated for over 50 years as one of the largest road construction contractors in Edmonton, and we are looking for an _**EXPERIENCED SAW CUTTER**_ to join our _**FAC**_ team for the 2026 road construction season.

**This position operates on a 6 day work week (Monday - Saturday with the occasional Sunday) with a shift of 8 - 12 hours a day,**

This is a full time seasonal position that offers a competitive wage with benefits.

Responsibilities

-   Operate saw cutting equipment safely and efficiently to cut asphalt and concrete as required.
-   Proficient in the utilization of chop saws and slab saws.
-   Perform layout measurements and mark cutting lines based on project specifications.
-   Ensure all cutting and equipment operations comply with safety regulations and company policies.
-   Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of saw cutting equipment to ensure optimal performance.
-   Collaborate with project foremen and superintendents to meet deadlines and maintain project schedules.
-   Assist in the preparation and cleanup of job sites before and after cutting operations (slurry containment and cleanup).
-   Maintain accurate records of cutting activities, including materials used and time spent on tasks.

**Requirements**

-   Proven experience as a saw cutter in road construction or a related field.
-   Familiarity with various saw cutting techniques and equipment.
-   Strong understanding of safety protocols and best practices related to construction operations.
-   Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, painted markings, and project specifications.
-   Excellent attention to detail and precision in carrying out cutting tasks.
-   Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor and operate heavy machinery.
-   Ability to work long hours in various outdoor, and project conditions.
-   Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and report on progress.
-   Ability to safely drive a one ton truck and tow trailer.

Pay Scale $23 - $27
