## Description

**POSITION OVERVIEW**

We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented **Loan Closer** to join our Operations team. This individual will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of the loan closing process for our Business Purpose Loan products, including Residential Transitional Loans (RTL), Bridge, Ground-Up Construction, DSCR (non-consumer), and Portfolio loans.

The Loan Closer will prepare and manage closing packages, coordinate with title companies, attorneys, escrow officers, warehouse lenders, and internal stakeholders, and ensure all closing conditions have been satisfied prior to funding. The ideal candidate has experience closing private lending or non-QM loans and is proficient with document preparation platforms such as Lightning Docs.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

-   Coordinate the closing process for Bridge, Renovation, Ground-Up Construction, DSCR, and Portfolio loans from clear-to-close through funding
-   Generate and review loan documents using Lightning Docs or similar document preparation software
-   Ensure loan documents accurately reflect approved loan terms and comply with company, investor, and regulatory requirements
-   Review final title commitments, insurance policies, settlement statements, and closing packages for accuracy
-   Coordinate with title companies, escrow officers, attorneys, brokers, borrowers, warehouse banks, and internal departments to schedule and facilitate timely closings
-   Confirm all underwriting and funding conditions have been satisfied prior to document release
-   Review executed closing documents for completeness and accuracy prior to funding
-   Resolve documentation discrepancies and closing issues quickly while maintaining established service levels
-   Coordinate funding requests and communicate funding authorization with internal finance and treasury teams
-   Maintain accurate loan records and closing documentation within the Loan Origination System
-   Ensure all post-closing documentation is complete and delivered to servicing, investors, or custodians as required
-   Work closely with Processing, Underwriting, Servicing, and Capital Markets to provide a seamless borrower experience
-   Manage multiple transactions simultaneously while consistently meeting closing deadlines

## Requirements

**REQUIRED:**

-   3+ years of loan closing experience in private lending, hard money, non-QM, or Business Purpose Lending environments
-   Experience coordinating closings for RTL, Bridge, Ground-Up Construction, and/or DSCR loan products
-   Strong understanding of title, escrow, settlement statements, insurance, and funding requirements
-   Experience reviewing legal loan documentation for accuracy and completeness
-   Knowledge of residential investment lending and entity borrowers (LLCs, Corporations, Trusts)
-   Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize a high-volume pipeline
-   Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
-   Excellent communication and relationship management skills
-   Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across departments
-   Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and electronic document management systems

**PREFERRED:**

-   Experience with Loan Origination Systems (e.g., LendingWise, Encompass, Salesforce, or custom LOS platforms)
-   Experience with self-drawn docs (Lightning Docs, DocMagic, etc)
-   Experience with warehouse lending and funding coordination
-   Familiarity with investor purchase requirements and post-closing delivery processes
-   Experience working with brokers and correspondent lending channels
-   Understanding of construction draw processes and rehabilitation loan structures
