## Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Document Developer to support the creation and maintenance of mortgage-related documents within our document preparation platform. This role is responsible for translating detailed customer and compliance requirements into fully functional documents, including the application of data mappings and print logic to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Document Developers often need to design and implement mapping logic using simple VB.NET code, so the ideal candidate combines strong technical aptitude with a disciplined approach to quality and testing. This role will perform thorough unit testing on all work products to ensure accuracy and adherence to established best practices. Given the regulatory and financial sensitivity of these documents, a high degree of precision, accountability, and ownership is essential.

**Job Responsibilities**

-   Translate business and compliance requirements into technical document logic and structured outputs
-   Design, build, and maintain mortgage-related documents within a document preparation platform
-   Apply data mapping and print logic to ensure accurate and compliant document generation
-   Develop and implement mapping logic using VB.NET or similar scripting languages
-   Ensure all document outputs align with regulatory, business, and customer requirements
-   Perform thorough unit testing on all developed documents to ensure accuracy and functionality
-   Identify, troubleshoot, and fix issues related to document logic, data mapping, and outputs
-   Validate end-to-end document behavior before release to ensure production readiness
-   Collaborate with stakeholders to clarify requirements and ensure correct implementation
-   Maintain high standards of precision, consistency, and quality across all deliverables
-   Document development changes and ensure proper version control and traceability
-   Support continuous improvement of document generation processes and best practices
-   Work with data sources and business rules to ensure correct data merging and output rendering
-   Ensure compliance with financial and regulatory standards in all generated documents

## Requirements

-   Ability to interpret and translate business requirements into technical requirements
-   Strong attention to detail
-   Experience working with data merging/mapping and business rules
-   Basic programming or scripting experience (e.g., VB.NET or similar), or proven ability to learn quickly
-   Experience independently unit testing and validating deliverables
-   Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
-   Business-level English fluency, including proficiency with English writing conventions

**Preferred Qualifications**

-   Experience in mortgage, lending, or financial services industries

-   Experience with document generation systems
-   Experience or familiarity with SQL databases and queries
