Path Construction is seeking a **Project Executive** in the Chicago area to lead multiple projects, develop high-performing teams, and help drive the continued growth of our business. Our Project Executives/Business Group Leaders oversee multiple projects simultaneously and are responsible for building and mentoring top-performing teams while ensuring successful project execution from preconstruction through closeout.

Founded in 2008, Path provides a wide range of construction services across diverse sectors, including healthcare, higher education, multifamily, hospitality, retail, self-storage, senior living, transportation, water and wastewater treatment, convention centers, laboratories, correctional, and institutional projects.  

**Duties for Project Executive/Business Group Leaders include**:

· Lead multiple project teams to deliver successful, safe, and profitable projects

· Oversee preconstruction activities, including subcontractor prequalification, estimating, value engineering, and preconstruction meetings

· Establish project budgets and maintain accountability for project financial performance, including profit and loss

· Identify, analyze, and mitigate project risks

· Oversee project schedules from preconstruction through closeout

· Manage project claims and dispute resolution

· Review design documents to verify scope completeness, identify cost impacts, and resolve design conflicts

· Prepare, track, and distribute preconstruction RFIs to address missing information and clarify scope

· Oversee the procurement process, including subcontract and purchase order issuance

· Ensure effective project controls related to safety, quality, client satisfaction, and profitability

· Develop, mentor, and lead high-performing project teams

· Build and maintain relationships with existing clients while pursuing new business opportunities through networking and business development efforts

## Requirements

· 10+ + years of commercial construction management experience, including leadership of multiple projects and teams

· Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred

· Strong knowledge of estimating, scheduling, cost controls, budgeting, and financial reporting

· OSHA safety experience with a demonstrated commitment to jobsite safety

· Proven experience delivering projects across multiple asset classes

· Extensive preconstruction experience, including estimating, value engineering, and procurement

· Expert understanding of building systems, construction methods, and assemblies.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software, including Procore, Sage, Primavera P6, and Microsoft Project

· Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills

· Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong work ethic and a desire to help grow the business and mentor others
