**Pathlight School** is the first autism-focused school in Singapore to offer the national curriculum together with life readiness skills. It caters to students on the autism spectrum with related conditions, aged 7 to 18 years, who are cognitively able to access national curriculum but require additional support such as smaller class sizes, special accommodations and teaching staff trained in autism.

The team at **Autism Intervention, Training & Consultancy (AITC)** provides training and consultancy services for professionals and caregivers, as well as direct intervention services for individuals on the autism spectrum.

As an **Occupational Therapist**, your Impact and Contribution includes:

**Assessment & Report Writing**

-   Participate in team assessment for school admissions
-   Assist in conducting Occupational Therapy (OT) related assessments and write reports for intervention planning
-   Support OT related assessments and write reports for Access Arrangements for National Exams

**Intervention**

-   Plan and deliver programmes for students with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) in a range of areas, including motor co-ordination skills (eg. Handwriting, aspects of PE, Vocational Skills) and regulation
-   Redesign task to increase productivity through accommodation and skill development
-   Participate in collaborative consultation with key stakeholders
-   Make necessary referrals to external and alternative services where necessary

**Programme Development & Training**

-   Participate in curriculum / programme development projects
-   Support the team in developing school wide strategies and programmes on areas related to sensory issues, and functional and motor co-ordination skills
-   Conduct training for stakeholders (eg. Therapists, Educators, Caregivers, Vendors and volunteers) to increase knowledge and skills in supporting students with Autism.

## Requirements

-   Full registration with the Allied Health Professional Council (AHPC)\*
-   Experience and skills in assessment and intervention on sensory issues
-   Desire to learn about autism and the passion to serve the autism community
-   Flexibility and adaptability to changes and different perspectives
-   Ability to work independently and as a team member in a fast paced work environment
