### **Accounting Manager (GAAP, Multi-Entity, Month-End Close, Payroll) – Remote | U.S. Hours**

### **About the Role**

We’re hiring a **hands-on Accounting Manager** to own **financial reporting, month-end close, payroll, and core accounting operations** across complex, multi-entity client accounts.

This is a **high-accountability, execution-focused role** — not basic bookkeeping. You’ll be responsible for:

### **What You’ll Own**

### **Month-End Close & Financial Reporting**

-   Execute **month-end and year-end close** with speed and accuracy
-   Prepare financial statements:

-   Balance Sheet
-   Income Statement (P&L)
-   Supporting schedules

-   Maintain **clean, audit-ready workpapers**
-   Ensure compliance with **GAAP and reporting timelines**

### **Payroll & Employee Setup**

-   Process payroll using platforms like **Gusto (or similar systems)**
-   Manage employee onboarding within payroll systems
-   Ensure compliance with **U.S. payroll regulations**
-   Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation

### **Core Accounting Operations**

-   Oversee **Accounts Payable (AP)** and **Accounts Receivable (AR)**
-   Maintain **general ledger accuracy across multiple entities**
-   Manage day-to-day accounting with strong attention to detail
-   Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies quickly

### **Sales Tax & Compliance**

-   Calculate and file **U.S. state sales tax** accurately and on time
-   Maintain proper documentation for all filings
-   Ensure compliance with federal and state requirements

### **Reporting, Analysis & Forecasting**

-   Build custom reports to support business insights
-   Support budgeting and forecasting processes
-   Deliver **clear financial analysis and data-driven insights**

### **Process Improvement & Documentation**

-   Review and improve accounting workflows
-   Identify inefficiencies and implement solutions
