The CSU Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Superintendent is to support commissioning and start-up activities on a major industrial project. This is a working supervisor role responsible for both performing hands-on E&I trade work and providing direct supervision of field crews to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of commissioning activities.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring systems are installed, tested, and commissioned in accordance with project requirements, safety standards, and technical specifications.

### Key Responsibilities

-   Ensure all E&I work is completed safely and in compliance with all project safety programs and procedures
-   Act as a working supervisor, performing trade work while also overseeing field crews as required
-   Modify, repair, test, troubleshoot, and inspect electrical and instrumentation installations
-   Verify installation, wiring, and terminations of MCCs, control panels, and junction boxes
-   Inspect, calibrate, modify, and troubleshoot instrumentation systems
-   Identify, document, and track construction and commissioning deficiencies through to resolution and closure
-   Support completion of commissioning documentation including check sheets, ITPs, and test reports
-   Maintain accurate redline documentation including as-built/as-left drawings, datasheets, and project records
-   Participate in commissioning meetings, including toolbox talks, safety meetings, and Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) sessions
-   Support planning and execution of commissioning activities, providing input into detailed work plans
-   Monitor schedule performance and productivity, collaborating with project teams to resolve issues and constraints

The position will be on-site for 2 weeks, 2 out of 11-hour days, flights and camp provided.

## Requirements

-   Journeyperson certification as an Instrumentation Technician or Electrician required (dual-ticket preferred.
-   4–10+ years of relevant experience in industrial E&I environments.
-   Strong commissioning and start-up experience in brownfield or operating facility environments required.
-   Previous experience in complex industrial projects strongly preferred.
-   Supervisory training or certification required or strongly preferred.
-   Safety certification considered a strong asset.
-   Strong working knowledge of electrical and instrumentation systems.
-   Proficient with computer systems and documentation tools.
