This is a field-based, shift position requiring extended periods of travel and work away from home. ### The Opportunity In this role, you will lead the testing and commissioning of MV/HV systems, protection & control schemes, and critical electrical infrastructure from construction through energization. If you enjoy solving complex technical challenges, leading technical teams, and collaborating with experienced commissioning professionals, this role offers meaningful technical work and long-term growth. ### **What You'll Do** - Lead a team in the testing and commissioning of power system protection & control schemes in the utility, power generation, and oil & gas industry. - Read and interpret drawings and troubleshoot / resolve technical issues. - Manage direct reports and delegate tasks as needed. - Report preparation and submission. - Assist with generation of commissioning startup procedures or work instructions. - Ensure compliance with all safety practices as per corporate, client, and industry standards. - Initiate and/or respond to customer inquiries, discuss trouble details and confirm resolutions. ## Requirements ### What We're Looking For - Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology Diploma, or Power Systems Electrician Journeyman certification - 4+ years of commissioning leadership experience within utility or MV/HV environments - Hands-on relay testing and commissioning experience - Experience working with substations, protection & control systems, and utility infrastructure - Experience with Omicron testing equipment is considered a strong asset - Strong troubleshooting and technical problem-solving abilities - Excellent communication and leadership skills - Ability to work extended rotations and travel to project sites as required Employment is contingent upon successful completion of applicable background checks, identity verification, and drug and alcohol testing, where required by company policy and applicable law.
