**Role Overview**

The Production Supervisor oversees the planning, scheduling, and delivery of English Scripting, Subtitling, and Creative Localization workflows. This role is responsible for ensuring projects are resourced appropriately, editors are set up for success, and deliverables meet quality and timeline expectations.

The Production Supervisor manages day‑to‑day execution while exercising strong operational judgment. They act as a key connective layer between Editors, Coordinators, Production Managers, and Client Operations, supporting delivery across multiple facilities, time zones, and shifting priorities.

This role blends people supervisory responsibilities and operational execution, balancing editorial quality, team sustainability, and efficiency in a fast‑paced production environment.

**Production Scheduling, Planning, & Execution**

-   Own day-to-day scheduling and workload planning for assigned projects, balancing quality, efficiency, and consistency across projects.
-   Assess incoming requests to determine appropriate workflows, timelines, and resource requirements.
-   Partner with Coordinators to assign work based on editor availability, skillset, project complexity, and deadlines.
-   Monitor active assignments, proactively identifying risks and escalating as needed.
-   Support continuity by identifying core editor groupings for ongoing series or franchise titles.
-   Collaborate with Production Managers on non-standard workflows or special handling, including adoption of updated or modified tools or workflows.
-   Partner with Client Operations to manage and understand changes in scope, priorities or timelines.

**Quality & Editorial Oversight**

-   Supervise and support a team of editors through regular check-ins, feedback, and coaching.
-   Ensure editors are aligned with current specifications, tools, and project instructions.
-   Maintain a high editorial quality bar across English deliverables.
-   Ensure tasks requiring QC or specialized expertise is assigned appropriately.
-   Monitor quality and productivity metrics, and address performance gaps through data-informed coaching.
-   Assist Production Managers in reviewing rejections, project challenges, and technical issues when requested.

**Resource & Capacity Management**

-   Balance editorial workloads to maintain sustainable capacity and consistent output.
-   Maintain awareness of editor strengths and development areas to inform coordination strategies and coaching decisions.
-   Support individual upskilling through coaching, targeted feedback, and exposure to new workflows.
-   Assist in the rollout of new processes or tools, ensuring editors understand changes and receive day-to-day support.

**Workflow & Process Improvement**

-   Identify scheduling, communication, or execution inefficiencies and propose improvements.
-   Partner with Leads, fellow Supervisors, and Production Managers to standardize workflows and close SOP gaps.
-   Contribute to Knowledge Base documentation and operational guidelines as needed.

**Collaboration & Communication**

-   Serve as a key communication bridge between Editors, Coordinators, Production Management, and Client Operations.
-   Provide clear updates on timelines, progress, and potential risks.
-   Escalate challenges proactively and partner with cross-functional teams to resolve them quickly.
-   Foster a professional, collaborative environment across production teams.

## Requirements

-   3+ years of experience in production scheduling, overseeing people, project planning, or operations within media, entertainment, or localization.
-   Strong understanding of localization workflows, including scripting, subtitling, and creative products.
-   Experience with production management or scheduling tools.
-   Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.

**Preferred Qualifications**

-   Experience supporting global localization or post-production teams.
-   Familiarity with editorial workflows, QC processes, and media localization pipelines.
-   Experience working in global multi-facility or distributed production environments.
