## Description

Prestage Farms is seeking a reliable and safety-focused CDL Driver to transport baby turkeys between farms. This is a full-time position that requires flexibility to work early morning hours and travel regularly between farm locations.

### Responsibilities

-   Safety operate a company-provided truck and trailer to transport live turkeys.

-   Ensure the well-being of the turkeys during transportation, adhering to all relevant animal welfare regulations.
-   Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures.
-   Document and log work/rest periods.
-   Plan routes and meet delivery schedules.
-   Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance.
-   Maintain a clean and organized truck and trailer at all times.

## Requirements

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

-   Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. & occasionally up to 100 lbs.

-   Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly.
-   Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
-   No recent moving or driving violations.
-   Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc)
-   Willing to submit to background/drug checks and provide employment recommendations.
-   one year of commercial driving experience or Trucking School Certificate
-   Valid Commercial driver license class A
-   Must be 21 years or older.
