### **Summary**

Our Client is seeking a **Lead Data Analyst** to develop impactful data solutions that empower business stakeholders to make informed, data-driven decisions while supporting the growth of a scalable self-service data platform. This role will partner closely with business owners, data engineers, architects, scientists, and analysts to deliver reusable data products, generate actionable insights, and influence business strategy.

The ideal candidate is an experienced data professional with advanced SQL and Business Intelligence expertise, strong analytical thinking, and a proactive, ownership-driven mindset. This individual will play a key role in transforming complex data into meaningful business insights while driving continuous improvements across data processes, governance, and reporting.

### **Responsibilities**

-   Own the development, delivery, maintenance, and continuous improvement of reusable data models, dashboards, analyses, A/B tests, and other data assets.
-   Gather business requirements, prioritize initiatives, and manage the lifecycle of data products while acting as the product owner for assigned business domains.
-   Utilize advanced SQL and Business Intelligence tools to design, develop, and implement scalable data solutions.
-   Serve as the subject matter expert for data within assigned business functions, providing strategic insights and supporting data-driven decision-making.
-   Proactively identify opportunities to improve business performance through data analysis and actionable recommendations.
-   Create and maintain comprehensive data documentation, ensuring stakeholders are informed of updates and enhancements.
-   Write user stories and technical requirements for data engineering teams, validate data mappings, support quality assurance activities, and monitor data quality.
-   Promote data literacy and self-service analytics by providing training, guidance, and ongoing support to business users.
-   Monitor the adoption and effectiveness of data assets, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
-   Collaborate with data architects, engineers, scientists, and analysts using Agile methodologies to deliver high-quality data solutions.
-   Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing, and cross-functional collaboration to enhance data capabilities across the organization.
-   Contribute to the development of the organization's data platform strategy and roadmap.
-   Define, monitor, and measure key performance objectives (OKRs) to evaluate the impact of data initiatives and business outcomes.

## Requirements

-   Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline (preferred). An advanced degree is a plus.
-   7+ years of experience as a Data Analyst supporting business stakeholders and collaborating with data engineering teams.
-   Advanced proficiency in SQL and Business Intelligence tools.
-   Experience with Databricks, Sigma, or similar modern analytics platforms is preferred.
-   Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with the ability to work independently.
-   Demonstrated ability to identify business challenges, determine root causes, and deliver creative, data-driven solutions.
-   Proven experience improving processes, products, and services while demonstrating accountability and ownership.
-   Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
-   Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills, with the ability to establish trust and collaborate effectively across teams.
-   Experience working in Agile environments and partnering with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, architects, analysts, and business leaders.
-   A proactive mindset with a strong desire to understand business operations and leverage data to support strategic decision-making.
-   Experience within the energy or construction industry is considered an advantage but is not required.
