**Position Summary**

The Director of Nursing provides strategic and operational leadership for all nursing and medical support services. They ensure that patient care is safe, evidence-based, trauma-informed, and fully compliant with state, federal, and accreditation standards (such as The Joint Commission or state substance use regulations). The DON acts as a bridge between frontline nursing staff, medical doctors/psychiatrists, and executive leadership.

## Requirements

-   Minimum of 3 Years Experience working in Behavioral Health and Detox
-   Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or healthcare administration degree strongly preferred.
-   Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Florida
-   Minimum of 3 to 5+ years of progressive nursing leadership/management experience in behavioral health, psychiatric care, or substance use disorder (SUD) treatment.
-   Deep understanding of dual-diagnosis treatment, substance withdrawal protocols, crisis intervention, EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems, and state-specific agency standards.
