## Description

Our client is looking for a Clinical Veterinarian.

Responsible for the physical and psychological well-being in the different breeding and housing sites of the company in respect of the company’s internal procedures and animal welfare standards.

·       Ensure adequate veterinary care is provided by assigned team and maintain the hospital facilities under your responsibility as per the company standards and procedures.

·       Define, organize and perform with the respective members of production team and veterinary team, the prophylaxis work in respect of the company’s sanitary requirements.

·       Perform necropsies, necessary sampling and ensure the proper maintenance of all necropsy equipment.

·       Actively participate in the animal welfare program by working in close collaboration with the production, welfare and quality team.

·       Lead and appropriately manage / coach / train the team appointed to assist you to ensure that all the company’s veterinary and sanitary procedures are followed, and that quality and welfare standards are complied with at all times, in line with the AAALAC and ISO accreditation guidelines.

·       Participate actively to the training program.

·       Collaborate with colleagues in all work or new project assigned by the Senior Clinical Vet.

·       Report accurately and promptly the data relative to care and movement of NHPs to the Senior Clinical Vet and/or the Veterinary and Animal Welfare Manager, as defined by the company’s procedures.

·       Ensure the reliability of the data on the report and the animal software.

·       Participate / Lead in the development of new project and presentations, when required by management.

·       Liaise with government, client and private agencies within the scope of your duties.

## Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

•           Education:   Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DMV) or equivalent degree

•           Experience: 2+ years of experience in similar field

•           Certification/Licensure: Registered Clinical Veterinarian with DVS

OTHER

WORKPLACE REQUIREMENTS

•           Computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office), corresponding to the essential functions (SharePoint, OneDrive, PowerApps), including the ability to learn a validated system (internal software)

•           Ability to ensure that a safe working environment is maintained by observing all safety procedures and working methods by making proper use of protective clothing and equipment, and by reading, understanding, and following all safety documents issued or notified of.

•           May require to work odd hours, weekend and on call for emergencies

•           Physical demands including standing for extended periods and lifting and handling NHPs varying sizes.
