Procon seeks an experienced Construction Project Manager to support a high-visibility federal program providing construction management and technical oversight across a diverse portfolio of facilities and infrastructure projects in Hunstsville, AL. The selected candidate will oversee project planning, design coordination, construction activities, and project execution to ensure successful delivery within established scope, schedule, budget, and quality requirements. This position requires collaboration with government representatives, architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to support mission-critical projects in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. This is a long-term, on-site opportunity supporting a critical federal mission.

## Requirements

### Qualifications & Skills

-   Active TS/SCI security clearance with CI Polygraph required.

-   Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years of experience managing complex projects, or 7+ years of relevant project management experience in lieu of a degree.

-   Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Microsoft Project.

-   Demonstrated experience developing project management plans, leading multidisciplinary teams of architects and engineers, and monitoring and reporting project progress.

-   Strong customer service, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse organizations.

-   Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents, with a solid understanding of standard construction industry practices.

-   Certified Construction Manager (CCM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.

-   Previous experience supporting new building construction projects is preferred.

### Responsibilities & Duties

-   Develop and implement comprehensive project management plans to support successful project execution.

-   Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams of architects, engineers, contractors, and other project stakeholders.

-   Review design documents and proposed modifications to government facilities for compliance with project requirements.

-   Oversee and coordinate project design and construction activities to ensure adherence to established objectives.

-   Collaborate with field personnel to integrate project activities, resolve issues, and maintain project progress.

-   Conduct construction inspections to verify compliance with approved designs, specifications, building codes, and quality standards.

-   Prepare and submit weekly project status reports detailing progress, milestones, risks, and outstanding issues.

-   Gather project requirements, develop scopes of work, conduct market research, and prepare sole-source justifications as needed.

-   Review and approve shop drawings and construction submittals to ensure compliance with project specifications.

-   Conduct final inspections, review and approve punch-list items, and support successful project turnover.

-   Maintain, track, and update contract change requests, ensuring proper documentation and coordination.

-   Provide oversight throughout the project lifecycle to ensure successful delivery within established scope, budget, schedule, and quality requirements.

### Physical Requirements

This position requires regular onsite presence in an active construction environment. The employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation, including:

-   Walking and standing for extended periods while performing site observations and inspections.

-   Navigating active construction areas, including stairs, uneven surfaces, temporary walkways, and varying elevations.

-   Occasionally bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and climbing as necessary to observe construction activities.

-   Accessing mechanical, electrical, utility, process, and other construction areas as required.

-   Wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE) and complying with all applicable site safety requirements.

-   Working in indoor and outdoor environments with exposure to typical construction-site conditions, including noise, dust, weather, and temperature fluctuations.

-   Occasionally lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds.
