## Description

The General Manager is responsible for sales, marketing, budgeting, financial management, and the supervision of people and projects. A large part of the role is hands-on, on-site construction management — overseeing development projects on the ground from groundbreaking through to delivery. Alongside this, the role carries full portfolio-level responsibility from the desk: the optimal management of the company's existing hospitality real estate, and the identification of new investment, development, and construction opportunities to drive the business forward.

**What You Will Do**

-   Lead on-site construction management of development projects, from concept and groundbreaking through to completion and handover.
-   Manage every aspect of the real estate portfolio, both on-site and from the office.
-   Prepare and execute the business plan for the growth of hospitality operations.
-   Identify and assess new real estate, investment, and development opportunities.
-   Manage all marketing and PR activities.
-   Ensure a high standard of customer and guest satisfaction.
-   Negotiate and manage contracts
-   Prepare and deliver regular performance and progress reports to senior management.

## Requirements

**What You Will Bring:**

-   University degree in a relevant field; a postgraduate degree is considered an asset.
-   5+ years of experience in the tourism industry across hospitality and accommodation, and/or in commercial real estate and construction.
-   Experience drafting contracts and financial reports.
-   Fluency in written and spoken English; additional languages are an asset.
-   Strong command of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
-   Proven ability to negotiate and manage relationships with third parties such as suppliers, contractors, and banks.
-   Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage a team and develop direct reports.
-   A consistent focus on customer satisfaction.
-   A keen eye for identifying business opportunities and acting on them in a timely manner.
-   Excellent written and verbal communication skills, essential for preparing proposals and presenting ideas to executives.
