## Description

The Director - Cost Planning at Qiddiya Investment Company plays a crucial role in overseeing and managing all aspects of cost planning activities across various projects. This leadership position ensures the alignment of cost estimates, budgeting, and financial control measures with Qiddiya’s strategic objectives and operational requirements. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing comprehensive cost plans, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and driving cost efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.

Key duties include setting the cost planning framework, guiding and mentoring cost planning teams, liaising with stakeholders, monitoring cost performance, and implementing best practices to optimize financial outcomes.

  

### Key Responsibilities

-   Lead and manage cost planning initiatives to ensure accurate and timely cost estimates and budgets.
-   Coordinate with project management, procurement, finance, and engineering teams to align cost planning with project goals.
-   Develop and maintain cost control procedures and tools that enhance financial discipline.
-   Provide strategic advice on cost risks, opportunities, and optimization measures.
-   Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management and key stakeholders.
-   Stay abreast of industry trends and incorporate innovative cost management practices.
-   Manage relationships with external consultants and contractors related to cost planning activities.
-   Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

## Requirements

-   Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, Finance or related discipline; a Master’s degree or relevant professional certification (e.g., RICS, PMP) is preferred.
-   At least 12 years of progressive experience in cost planning, cost control, or related commercial roles, preferably within large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.
-   Proven leadership experience managing teams and complex projects.
-   Strong analytical skills with proficiency in cost estimation and financial modeling tools.
-   Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
-   Experience working within the Middle East market or with regional projects is advantageous.
-   Professional certifications such as RICS, CIMA, or PMP are highly desirable.
