### Job Purpose

The Senior Specialist – Cloud Operations is responsible for the day-to-day operation, administration, monitoring, and optimization of the organization’s cloud environments. The role ensures cloud services remain **available, secure, reliable, and cost-efficient**, while providing advanced technical support and driving automation and continuous operational improvement.

### Key Responsibilities

-   Operate, administer, monitor, and support enterprise cloud platforms and services.
-   Ensure the availability, stability, performance, and operational readiness of cloud environments.
-   Monitor cloud infrastructure and proactively identify and resolve performance, capacity, availability, and configuration issues.
-   Provide **L3 technical support** for complex cloud incidents, service requests, and change requests, consistent with the responsibilities referenced in your internal material. -   Support cloud security controls, identity and access management, configuration standards, backup, and disaster recovery.
-   Support incident, problem, and change management activities, including root-cause analysis for recurring or critical issues.
-   Monitor cloud utilization and support **FinOps/cost optimization** activities to improve resource efficiency.
-   Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, runbooks, and SOPs. -   Maintain monitoring, alerting, backup, recovery, and high-availability capabilities.
-   Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in cloud reliability, scalability, security, and operational processes.

## Requirements

### Qualifications

-   Bachelor’s degree in **Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering**, or a related field.
-   Typically **5–8 years of relevant IT/infrastructure experience**, including strong hands-on exposure to cloud operations.
-   Hands-on experience with one or more major platforms such as **Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)**. Public senior cloud roles similarly emphasize AWS/Azure, cloud infrastructure, monitoring, troubleshooting, security, scalability, and cost efficiency
