> Qiddiya Investment Company · Riyadh, Saudi Arabia · Full-time · Posted 2026-11-04

**Workplace:** on_site

**Department:** Golf

## Description

The Senior PGA Teaching Professional is the most senior coach at Qiddiya Golf during Phase 1 and the guardian of the club’s instructional standard, delivering bespoke, world-class coaching to members, guests, juniors and aspiring elite players. The role leads the Golf Academy’s day-to-day programme, mentors the Teaching Professionals, and owns the quality, consistency and commercial performance of every lesson, clinic and academy offering. The incumbent is an accomplished, technology-fluent coach and a natural mentor, who can inspire a first-time golfer and refine a scratch player with equal grace.

### Responsibilities

This position exists to establish Qiddiya Golf as the Kingdom’s benchmark for golf instruction from the very first day of operation. Until the permanent clubhouse opens in 2028 and a Director of Instruction is appointed, the Senior PGA Teaching Professional carries the instructional leadership of the club: designing and delivering the coaching curriculum, setting the lesson standard, building player pathways, and ensuring that every guest leaves the practice tee more confident, more capable and eager to return.

The role combines a substantial personal coaching load with day-to-day leadership of the teaching team, but does not hold the full strategic, multi-venue or departmental budget accountability that will belong to the Head of Golf. The Senior PGA Teaching Professional works closely with the Golf Operations Manager / Head of Golf and Golf Operations Supervisor on range and simulator logistics, with Retail on custom fitting and equipment sales, with Events Team and sales on academy programmes/packages, and with Golf Saudi and the Saudi Golf Federation on junior, women’s and national player development initiatives aligned with Saudi Vision 2030.

**Premium Instruction & Player Development**

•  Deliver a full weekly schedule of private lessons, playing lessons, short-game sessions and on-course coaching — tailored to each player’s goals, ability and physical profile.

•  Coach the club’s most discerning clientele, including VIPs, low-handicap golfers and visiting dignitaries, with the discretion and polish of a 5-star host.

•  Build individual development plans for regular students, recording goals, swing data, practice plans and progress in the academy’s student-management platform.

•  Lead high-performance coaching for elite juniors and aspiring amateur players, preparing them for national, regional and international competition.

**Golf Academy Programme Leadership (Phase 1)**

•  Design, launch and continually refine the academy curriculum — beginner pathways, ladies’ programmes, junior academy levels, short-game schools and performance squads.

•  Manage the daily coaching calendar and booking flow, ensuring lesson capacity is aligned with demand, tee-sheet activity and practice-area availability.

•  Set and audit the club’s “Qiddiya Coaching Standard”: lesson structure, communication style, follow-up, punctuality and presentation of the teaching bays.

•  Develop academy packages, golf schools and corporate golf clinics in partnership with Sales and Events.

**Coaching Team Leadership & Mentoring**

•  Lead, mentor and evaluate the PGA Teaching Professionals and Assistant Professionals, conducting regular lesson observations and constructive feedback sessions.

•  Run internal coaching workshops and continuing professional development, ensuring a consistent instructional philosophy across the team.

•  Support the Golf Academy’s Saudi national development by working with the Golf Saudi Academy Team. Mentoring Saudi PGA trainees and assistant coaches towards full professional qualification if and when required.

•  Contribute to recruitment, onboarding and rostering of the coaching team in partnership with the Head of Golf and Human Resources.

**Technology & Performance Analysis**

•  Act as the club’s lead specialist for launch monitors, 3D motion capture, pressure plates, putting analysis and video systems — translating data into clear, simple guidance for every player.

•  Ensure the teaching studio/simulators and range technology is calibrated, maintained and presented to an immaculate standard at all times.
•  Conduct custom club-fitting sessions in partnership with Retail, recommending equipment that genuinely improves each player’s game.

•  Integrate fitness and mobility screening (e.g. TPI) into player assessments, liaising with external physiotherapy or performance specialists where appropriate.

**Commercial Performance & Guest Experience**

•  Deliver against agreed academy revenue, lesson utilisation and student-retention targets, reporting monthly performance to the Head of Golf.

•  Convert lesson students into repeat clients, academy members and fittings through outstanding service and thoughtful follow-up.

•  Monitor guest feedback and lesson satisfaction scores, resolving any concerns personally and promptly.

•  Contribute to the academy budget, pricing proposals and product mix, and recommend investment in coaching technology and practice-facility enhancements.

**Junior, Community & National Development**

•  Lead the junior academy, including safeguarding compliance, parent communication and structured progression from introduction to competitive golf.

•  Champion the growth of women’s and family golf through welcoming, culturally considerate programmes.

•  Collaborate with Golf Saudi and the Saudi Golf Federation on grassroots, school and talent-identification initiatives hosted at Qiddiya.

•  Support club competitions, pro-ams, and tournament events with clinics, rules guidance and on-course presence.

**Transition to the Permanent Clubhouse (2028)**

•  Document academy processes, curricula, student records and performance data so that a seamless handover can be made to the incoming Director of Instruction if and when required.

•  Provide practical input into the design and specification of the permanent academy, teaching studios and practice facilities.

Is expected to undertake any additional duties or responsibilities that may reasonably be required to support the wider objectives and operational needs of the organisation.

**Core Competencies**

•  **Bespoke Coaching Mastery:** Reads each player quickly and adapts language, method and pace to individual learning styles, from complete beginners to tour-calibre amateurs.

•  **Luxury Service Mindset:** Delivers every lesson as a 5-star experience: punctual, immaculately presented, discreet and attentive to the smallest detail.

•  **Mentorship & Leadership:** Raises the standard of the whole coaching team through example, observation and generous, constructive feedback.

•  **Communication & Cultural Intelligence:** Explains complex technical concepts simply and builds warm, respectful relationships with Saudi and international clients alike.

•  **Commercial Awareness:** Understands lesson utilisation, retention and yield, and naturally identifies opportunities for academy growth.

•  **Attention to Detail:** Notices the smallest flaw in a swing, a data set or a teaching bay, and resolves it before the guest does.

•  **Innovation & Continuous Learning:** Stays at the forefront of coaching science and technology, and brings fresh ideas into the academy programme.

**Resilience & Stamina:** Maintains energy, composure and enthusiasm across long coaching days outdoors in the Saudi climate.

•  Experience of mentoring and leading a team of coaches; experience in the GCC or with international, multicultural clientele is highly advantageous.
