# Senior Legal Counsel - Contracting

## Description

\- Lead the drafting, review, and negotiation of complex commercial, construction, procurement, infrastructure, transportation, consultancy, and service contracts.

\- Provide strategic and practical legal advice to senior leadership and internal stakeholders on contractual obligations, commercial risks, claims, and major project matters.

\- Support projects throughout the contracting lifecycle, from procurement and contract development through execution, administration, and closeout.

\- Identify and mitigate contractual risks, including variations, performance issues, claims, and potential disputes.

\- Ensure contracts comply with applicable Saudi laws, internal policies, governance requirements, and delegation of authority.

\- Collaborate with Procurement, Development, Finance, and other business functions to provide timely legal support for key projects and transactions.

\- Manage external legal counsel and ensure the quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of legal services.

\- Develop and maintain contract templates, legal guidance, processes, and contracting best practices.

\- Lead, mentor, and develop members of the Legal Contracting team while promoting knowledge transfer and continuous improvement.

## Requirements

\- Bachelor’s degree in law, master's is preferred.

\- Significant experience within a leading law firm, major organization, government-related entity, or large-scale development environment.

\- Strong experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial, construction, procurement, and infrastructure contracts.

\- Proven ability to advise senior stakeholders on contractual risk, commercial negotiations, and strategic legal matters.

\- Strong knowledge of contracting principles, procurement practices, corporate governance, and applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
