**Senior Database Solution Architect (Oracle) | Quality & Reliability (QnR), the parent company of QnR Group**

**Role overview**

We are looking for a Senior Database Solution Architect to join the Back End team of Quality & Reliability (QnR). You will own the Oracle databases of large public-sector information systems, from the data model to the production cutover. The work covers data migration from legacy systems, PL/SQL and Oracle APEX development, and moving databases to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. Developers, partners and clients will come to you for every database decision.

## Requirements

**What you'll work on:**

-   **Database design**: Design logical and physical data models for new information systems and set the standards for naming, auditing, multi-tenancy and row-level security
-   **Data migration**: Lead migrations from legacy systems (Oracle 11g/12c, SQL Server, older ERPs) to target Oracle or PostgreSQL databases. Own data migration from the mapping study to the production cutover: PL/SQL load packages, stage syncs, reconciliation and character-set conversion
-   **PL/SQL & Oracle APEX**: Build packages, views and reporting procedures, administer APEX instances and workspaces, and integrate them with external systems, identity providers and third-party services through RESTful APIs
-   **Oracle Cloud**: Move schemas to OCI Autonomous Database (ATP/ADW) and other clouds with Data Pump, and set up DB links, wallets and network ACLs together with our System Architect team
-   **BI & ETL**: Design data warehouses and ETL with Oracle Data Integrator, and build reports in BI Publisher and Oracle Analytics Cloud
-   **Performance**: Read execution plans, rewrite queries and design indexes on tables with hundreds of millions of rows
-   **Technical leadership**: Guide developers and external partners, for example on Oracle Forms to APEX modernisation, review database code and estimate the database work of new projects
-   **Client delivery**: Present technical designs to public-sector clients and write the database chapters of project deliverables: system design, data migration plan, technical manuals
-   **Support**: Act as third-level support for database, APEX and ORDS incidents in productions

**What you bring:**

-   Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
-   7+ years of hands-on experience with **Oracle Database, SQL and PL/SQL** on production systems
-   Proven experience **designing databases** for large OLTP systems
-   At least two **end-to-end data migrations** from legacy systems, from analysis to production
-   Strong **performance tuning** skills: execution plans, indexing, AWR / SQL Monitor
-   Experience with **Oracle APEX** and/or **ORDS**
-   Fluent **Greek**, as deliverables for our Greek public-sector clients are written in Greek, and very good **English**
-   Clear communication with developers and clients, and the habit of documenting your work

-   Oracle Cloud Infrastructure: Autonomous Database, Data Pump, cloud migrations
-   Oracle Data Integrator, BI Publisher or Oracle Analytics Cloud
-   Oracle Forms/Reports to APEX modernisation
-   Oracle ADF / WebLogic
