**About the Role**

  

We are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead and grow engineering teams responsible for the **authentication and authorization** platform.

  

This role is an exciting opportunity created by our rapid growth. You'll lead a team of backend and frontend engineers alongside a Product Manager, starting with a balance of hands-on technical contribution (40–50%) and people leadership, before gradually transitioning into a more strategic leadership role.

  

You will design scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions while mentoring engineers and fostering a high-performing team culture. Working closely with Engineering Managers, Product Managers, Architects, Technical Leads, Designers, and Product Engineers, you'll help define roadmaps, drive execution, and ensure engineering excellence across the organization.

  

**What You’ll Do**

-   Lead and grow a team of engineers, fostering collaboration and excellence.
-   Own the full lifecycle of a product or component - from design and development to deployment and optimization.
-   Shape the technical roadmap alongside product and design teams.
-   Influence architecture and processes to ensure scalability, quality, and maintainability.

  

**Requirements**

**Requirements**

-   **10+ years of experience, with 4+ years of experience leading engineering teams**, with responsibility for managing and growing organizations of 20+ engineers.
-   Strong technical background as a software engineer, with substantial hands-on experience building and operating production systems.
-   Strong experience with **Java** and modern backend development frameworks; experience with other backend technologies is a plus.
-   Proven ability to review technical designs, evaluate architectural decisions, and contribute effectively to technical discussions.
-   Experience designing and scaling microservices-based architectures, cloud-native infrastructure, and complex system integrations.
-   Hands-on leadership experience within Authentication and Authorization domains, with ownership of products or platforms from concept through production.
-   Demonstrated success scaling teams, processes, and engineering practices in high-growth environments.
-   Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience collaborating across Product, Design, Architecture, and Engineering functions.
-   Track record of delivering complex technical initiatives within budget, timeline, and scope constraints.
-   Ability to translate business goals into clear technical strategies and execution plans.
-   Comfortable navigating ambiguity while providing direction, alignment, and accountability for teams.
-   Strong end-to-end ownership mindset, taking responsibility for the full product lifecycle from ideation to production.
-   Passion for mentoring and developing engineers, fostering growth, and building future leaders.
-   Excellent communication skills in English.
-   Interest in renewable energy, sustainability, or mission-driven technology is highly desirable.
