Our client is a fast-growing consumer services company.

The role

Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Own major product areas from discovery through delivery, working closely with users and company leadership to decide what to build. Ship web and mobile features quickly, using AI-assisted development tools throughout the process, and help shape the product roadmap.

What you'll do

\- Take ownership of a product area for a quarter at a time, from user research and specs through design and production release.

\- Build AI-driven recommendation features that analyze user data and suggest next steps to staff members.

\- Design and deliver polished web and mobile experiences for both consumers and internal users.

\- Develop custom models on proprietary data to personalize recommendations.

\- Advance AI-native engineering practices by writing tests, specs and planning documents that help AI agents produce faster, more reliable code.

\- Coach teammates on new AI-assisted development approaches.

## Requirements

What we're looking for

\- 3+ years of engineering experience.

\- Based in New York City or willing to relocate, and able to work in the office 4-5 days per week.

\- Hands-on, everyday use of AI coding assistants in your own workflow.

\- Practical experience raising the quality of results from language-model features, using methods such as measurement, prompt design or model tuning.

\- Experience building AI-powered features.

\- Production experience with React.

\- Entrepreneurial background, such as founding a company, being an early startup employee, or independently building a consumer app (side projects count).

\- Customer-facing mindset, with the ability to turn user feedback into working code.

\- Strong product instincts and a desire to drive the roadmap and company direction.

Bonus points

\- Experience at a high-growth startup or a consumer service that works with insurers.

\- Familiarity with JavaScript, TypeScript, AWS and MySQL.

\- Degree from a top-ranked university, especially for new graduates.
