About the company

Our client is a fast-growing software company.

The role

Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Own the reliability, performance and cost of a company's production cloud infrastructure, from architecture and database operations to setting the standards the engineering team works to. Advise leadership on early-stage infrastructure choices as the platform scales.

What you'll do

\- Design and evolve cloud architecture on AWS.

\- Run production database operations, including sizing, replication and recovery.

\- Set and maintain reliability standards for production systems.

\- Improve the performance and cost efficiency of live infrastructure.

\- Advise the team on which languages and databases to adopt early on.

## Requirements

What we're looking for

\- Deep AWS expertise.

\- Hands-on experience tuning and operating PostgreSQL in production.

\- Experience building cloud infrastructure from scratch, provisioning resources directly rather than only using existing internal tools.

\- Proven results improving response times or spend in running environments, with support for time-sensitive workloads.

\- Daily use of AI coding tools in infrastructure work, or a willingness to learn them.

Bonus points

\- Prior experience reworking the design of a live system to handle growth without downtime.

\- Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
