Our client is a healthcare technology company.

The role

Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Own the design and evolution of backend services and externally facing APIs that partners rely on, working in a fast-moving, early-stage environment. Build data models and ingestion layers that bring information from many outside sources into consistent internal structures. Collaborate with partner engineering teams on integrations and help shape the long-term backend architecture.

What you'll do

\- Design and evolve public-facing APIs with a focus on stability, careful versioning and high-quality developer experience.

\- Own core platform components that collect, reconcile and expose data from multiple third-party sources.

\- Work with partner engineering teams to build and maintain embedded integrations.

\- Help define shared data models that bring varied kinds of incoming information into clean, lasting abstractions.

\- Build pluggable ingestion frameworks that normalize third-party data into consistent internal models and make onboarding new partners straightforward.

\- Help steer backend architecture as integration patterns and client needs change.

## Requirements

What we're looking for

\- 6+ years of experience building production backend systems.

\- Hands-on experience with TypeScript and Node.js.

\- Experience building and maintaining external-facing APIs that customers or partners depend on.

\- Deep backend skills, including solid knowledge of a relational database, asynchronous messaging and distributed architecture.

\- Zero-to-one experience at a startup, or on new projects or teams within a larger company.

\- Strong data modeling instincts.

\- Ability to independently own features end to end from the start.

\- A CS degree from a strong university, or equivalent strength shown through company experience.

\- Strong written communication and proactive management of timelines.

\- Based in the New York City area and able to work on a hybrid schedule.

Bonus points

\- Experience with enterprise integrations or partner onboarding.

\- Background in healthcare or health technology.

\- Experience at a well-known growth-stage startup.
