Our client is an enterprise software company.

The role

Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Design and build large-scale backend services for an enterprise software platform, taking ownership from architecture through production reliability. The role suits a senior engineer who has personally shipped backend systems and wants to shape how they are designed.

What you'll do

\- Own the development of core backend services from design through production.

\- Plan platform designs that hold up under heavy load, with dependable operation and fast response times.

\- Shape architecture and engineering decisions that span several teams.

\- Explain technical tradeoffs clearly to colleagues outside engineering.

\- Build backend components that support AI-driven automation features.

## Requirements

What we're looking for

\- Strong grounding in designing networked, multi-service platforms and planning their structure.

\- Senior or staff-level backend engineering experience.

\- A track record of personally building and shipping backend systems in production, not only leading others who did.

\- Experience working with LLMs, AI or machine learning systems, or agentic workflows.

\- A history of influencing engineering decisions across teams.

Bonus points

\- A significant role at a larger technology company followed by startup experience, or early engineering work at a high-growth startup.

\- Strong academic background, including a top school in a non-computer-science discipline before moving into engineering.
