Our client is a fast-growing software company.

The role

Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Act as the first dedicated reliability hire, taking charge of the hosting environment from architecture through day-to-day operation. The work spans deployment tooling, monitoring and supporting setups with strict security needs. Expect to make design calls on your own within a small, fast-moving team.

What you'll do

\- Take full responsibility for the hosting stack, shaping and expanding both cloud and self-hosted environments.

\- Map out and drive the transition from public cloud hosting to self-managed and network-isolated setups for security-sensitive users.

\- Set up and maintain dedicated environments for individual clients, keeping a shared platform dependable.

\- Create monitoring and observability tooling that gives clearer insight into system health and supports proactive reliability work.

\- Streamline build and release automation, infrastructure-as-code habits and rollout processes.

## Requirements

What we're looking for

\- Up to 4 years of relevant experience.

\- A track record of being the main owner of infrastructure in a startup or small engineering group.

\- Practical background with a major public cloud provider such as AWS, GCP or Azure.

\- Working skill with container orchestration, ideally Kubernetes or Docker.

\- A fast learner who is confident making difficult architectural choices without close supervision.

\- Must be a US citizen or permanent resident (green card holder).

Bonus points

\- Experience shipping to restricted or regulated environments.

\- Exposure to self-hosted or hybrid cloud setups.

\- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tooling such as Terraform, or with security fundamentals.

\- Side projects, home labs or extracurricular work with measurable impact.
