The role Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Strengthen and scale backend services and data systems for a consumer application as usage grows. Take end-to-end ownership of real-time services and data pipelines, balancing performance with sensible infrastructure spending. What you'll do \- Review and harden core backend services and third-party integrations so they handle much greater load. \- Design how sensitive user data is organized and structured. \- Build data pipelines that deliver user context to services and new product features. \- Build fast, efficient real-time systems for conversational features. \- Build data systems that support personalization and product experimentation. \- Own projects end to end, from design through deployment and scaling. ## Requirements What we're looking for \- 4 to 6 years of backend engineering experience. \- Background at an early-stage startup or as a founding team member. \- A track record of shipping and running backend software in production. \- Fluency in at least one mainstream server-side programming language. \- Hands-on work with SQL databases, caching layers, background job processing and data platforms. \- Comfort designing service interfaces and scalable, distributed architectures. \- Bachelor's degree. \- Ability to work on-site five days a week in San Francisco.
