Our client is a fast-growing software company.

The role

Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Own the design and growth of backend services for a software platform, working through ambiguous technical challenges with a high degree of autonomy. Guide less experienced engineers and collaborate with product colleagues on practical technical solutions.

What you'll do

\- Architect resilient, cloud-hosted backend services that scale with rising usage and data volume.

\- Build automated workflows powered by AI to handle large-scale data processing.

\- Coach less experienced engineers by reviewing their code, sharing design advice and setting a strong technical example.

\- Partner with product teammates to shape business needs into clear, workable technical designs.

## Requirements

What we're looking for

\- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.

\- At least 2 years working in a high-growth startup environment.

\- History of taking significant engineering initiatives from concept through to launch.

\- Strong skills in Python, TypeScript and AWS infrastructure.

\- Backend generalist with solid systems design ability and experience with APIs and data-handling pipelines.

\- Ability to explain architectural choices and the trade-offs behind them.

\- Comfortable working in the office 4 days a week.

Bonus points

\- Background in healthcare or life sciences.

\- B2B and SaaS experience.
