Our client is a law firm.

The role

Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Step into a mid-level attorney position within an established practice group, supporting existing clients across advisory, deal-related and contested matters. The work centers on environmental and property-use issues, with an emphasis on permitting and regulatory compliance.

What you'll do

\- Advise on agency, administrative, deal-related and court matters involving real property development and natural resources.

\- Address state and federal environmental review requirements alongside issues in mining, public lands, air quality, water and energy.

\- Take the lead on court challenges to government land decisions, including mandamus-type petitions.

\- Guide clients through project planning and environmental permit processes.

\- Contribute to property transactions that raise environmental or zoning considerations.

## Requirements

What we're looking for

\- At least 5 years of practice in environmental or land use law, ideally in a firm setting; the firm may consider other seniority levels if pay expectations fit the range.

\- Admission to the California bar.

\- Familiarity with state and federal environmental review statutes, project entitlement or public lands work.

\- Courtroom experience in land use disputes, including writ proceedings.

\- Background supporting real estate deals.

\- Working knowledge of air, water and energy regulation, as well as mining and public lands law.

\- A law degree with a strong academic record; a transcript is requested with the application.

\- Commitment to the firm's annual billable hours target of 1900+.

\- Residence in San Francisco and ability to be in the office 4 days a week.
